Where is Sikkim?
Sikkim is located in the north-eastern region of India, it is a small state with a big heart. It borders Tibet in the north and northeast, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west, and West Bengal in the south. Sikkim is also located close to India's Siliguri Corridor near Bangladesh. Sikkim is the least populous and second smallest among the Indian states. A part of the Eastern Himalaya, Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, as well as being a host to Kangchenjunga, the highest peak in India and third highest on Earth. Sikkim's capital and largest city is Gangtok also known as hill top.

How to reach Sikkim?
Friends there might be a question in your mind that is the mode of transport to reach Sikkim. Friends almost all the modes of transportations are available to visit Sikkim. This Paradise on Earth is well connected by airways, railways and roadways. In spite of being a hilly state, transportation of Sikkim is comfortable and more frequent to enjoy the ride on the world’s most beautiful valley.
Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport, New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri are the two rail stations nearest to Sikkim located in West Bengal and for road service private buses, jeeps and taxies are available from morning to evening at reasonable rate and you can have a very comfortable journey.
When is the best time to visit Sikkim?
While the best time to visit Sikkim depends if you like snow or soothing bliss. Summers are blissful with pleasant temperatures and respite from heat of the plains. Therefore it is known as the perfect time to plan your Sikkim holiday. While winters, receive snow, hence favored by adventure sport enthusiasts. So it is all up to your own decision when to visit Sikkim, but to be very frank monsoon is not preferable to visit this place. Being a hill station there will be the danger of landslide all over the state.What is Sikkim famous for?

- Tsomgo Lake:
Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim and it is some 40 kilometres from the capital Gangtok.

- Namchi South Sikkim:
Namchi is the district or capital of South Sikkim. There is number of places to visit near by Namchi.
Some of them are:
- Char Dham
- Namchi Ropeway
- Tarey Bhir
- Tendong Hill
- Sai Mandir
- Ngadak Monastery and many more.

- Yuksom:
Yuksom is a small town in the State of Sikkim known for its gorgeous landscape and snowcapped mountains. Also know as the "gateway to Kangchendzongha", the town is know for its monasteries and Buddhist heritage as well. There are numerous places to see in Yuksom too.

Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River.
